Description
Petit All Awash is perched just above Industry Bay on the north east windward coast of Bequia. Industry beach is quiet and sandy and is just yards away from the villa, lined with overhanging coconut palms and protected from the swell by a coral reef. The swimming is safe and the snorkelling good. Petit All Awash is a small stone villa offering a relaxed open plan living space with soaring wood ceilings, traditional furniture and louvred doors opening onto a covered veranda for open air dining. Next to the villa there is a swimming pool and sun terrace set within the leafy garden of exotic trees, flowers and coconut palms. Rental rates.
The green hilly Grenadines island of Bequia has breathtaking deserted beaches, spectacular scenery, friendly inhabitants and a rich seafaring history. Bequia, a Carib word meaning "Island of Clouds" remains unspoilt by any major resort developments and a feeling of relaxation and informality prevails - a real Caribbean experience. Arriving at Admiralty Bay on the ferry from St Vincent and docking at bustling little Port Elizabeth is a wonderful introduction to Bequia. Petit All Awash is perched just above the sea and only a few yards from Industry Bays lovely sandy beach (with safe swimming and good snorkelling and its own friendly beach bar). It is set within a leafy garden of exotic trees, flowers and coconut palms, and has a saltwater swimming pool and sun terrace for your sole use. The view is spectacular, looking over the coral reef towards the islands of Battowia, Baliceaux and Mustique.
The little stone villa with its soaring wood ceilings, traditional furniture and louvred doors opening onto a large covered veranda for open air dining, offers a relaxed open plan living space. There is a large bathroom/dressing room, and the kitchen is adequately equipped for simple cooking. The house may not have every luxury such as air conditioning but the westerly trade winds and shady veranda make life very pleasant. House and Bequia photos.
Clifford and Roselyn Browne are on hand to look after your needs, see to the pool and garden each morning and do some cleaning. By arrangement and at extra cost personal laundry (there is no washing machine but an iron is available), extra cleaning, cooking, baking and baby sitting can be provided. Bed linen, towels and swimming towels are included. Use of telephone is inclusive for local and incoming international calls only. Activities and Attractions |

Due to its small size, no large passenger jets are able to fly into E.T. Joshua airport on St Vincent. Major airlines fly daily to Barbados, St Lucia, Martinique, Puerto Rico and Grenada. You then transfer to an inter-island carrier like LIAT and Caribbean Star which provide a service to St Vincent. From E.T. Joshua airport it is a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the ferry pier in Kingstown from where ferries make the one hour trip to Bequia. Alternatively you can use a small shared charter plane directly into Bequia J.F. Mitchell Airport, using one of the many regional charter companies available. We regularly use SVG Air to get to Bequia from Barbados. |
